Rough Day In Queen City
Big second half delivers Bearcats to easy win
B.J. Knauf took some big
hits but delivered some,
too, in his first game for
Purdue. The redshirt freshman was very active in the
first quarter, getting three
rushes and one reception,
but never touched the ball
on offense in the game's
final 45 minutes.

It was a close game for much of the first half,
including when senior quarterback Rob Henry
tied the score following this nifty 7-yard run
with 3:26 left before intermission.
Tight end Charles Torwudzo expressed a common sentiment on the sideline. The thermometer measured "only" 85 degrees at kickoff, but
by game's end it was in the 90s with the field
temperatures exceeding 120 degrees.
Long snapper Jesse Schmitt made a remarkable play to set up the Boilermakers' lone touchdown.
Schmitt not only covered the 73 yards of Cody Webster's punt, but he was able to track down the loose
ball that remained on the turf for a few moments after Anthony McClung's fumble.
