2019 OPENED RINK BREAKDOWN CONCRETE RINK FLOOR Basically, you'll never miss what's hap- pening on the ice." The fourth sheet might be the most unique of the rinks at Centene. It's an outdoor, covered facility that holds 2,200 people, with about 1,200 of those seats covered. During the cold months, it can be used for hockey. During those warm Missouri summers, the facility can be turned into a 4,500-seat amphitheater. Outside of the rinks, the facility fea- tures sport-specific training centers, synthetic off-ice training and a Pure Hockey store. "It's more than just an ice rink," said Lance Rosenberg, the general manager of Centene. "It's a sports facility." Pleasing the Masses This past September, Centene finally opened its doors to the public. With all of the effort put into this facility, it was well-received. "When people come in, they're just in awe from the second they walk in," Whatley said. "They say, 'Wow, this place is just so big and there are just so many nooks and crannies.'"
