U.S. ICE RINK NEWS Updates from the United States Ice Rink Association 48 / JANUARY.FEBRUARY.2020 USICERINKS.COM , Individuals who have been awarded the Certified Ice Technician (CIT) profes- sional designation by the United States Ice Rink Association are required to recer- tif y every five years from the year they originally achieved the CIT. In addition, CIT's must also renew their membership each year with the United States Ice Rink Association, to maintain their CIT designation. There are be two ways for individuals to recertify their CIT designation in 2020: 1. Successfully complete the written CIT recertification exam at the North American Rink Conference and Expo (NARCE), May 19-22 in Buffalo, NY. 2. Successfully complete the written CIT Recertification Exam, offered at any regional training program location. CIT Class of 2015 — It's Time to Recertify! • Online self-study materials will be available to individuals that register to take the CIT Recertification exam. • For more information about CIT recertification options please contact John Monteleone at 719-538-1514 or johnm@usicerinks.com. 2020 Regional Training Program locations will be available in mid-March. usicerinks.com/education New Member Portal Coming In 2020 , Coming in early 2020 to the United States Ice Rink Association website (usicerinks. com) will be a new and improved member portal. Members will be able to log in to the portal to update their profile information, access dues, training and event invoices and receipts, track their certification progress, expiration dates and print certificates, participate in members only discussion groups, and share files within the community library.
