Regional Training Programs 30 / SEPTEMBER.OCTOBER.2021 USICERINKS.COM KNOW BEFORE YOU GO—RTPs , With the uncertainty in many states as to the ability to host an in-person Regional Training Program (RTP), we have tentatively scheduled in- person classes beginning in August. Registration begins on or about May 15, 2021. Please read carefully. Questions should be directed to John Monteleone at johnm@usicerinks.com. • Any COVID protocols that are in place for the host location will be forwarded to attendees 10 days prior to the start of class and must be adhered to—no exceptions. o This may include enhanced standards for the facility itself over and above what may be required at the state or county level o Examples: taking a COVID test in advance of class, submitting to temperature checks upon entry, health surveys, mask use, signing a release and waiver and/or removal from class if any COVID symptoms present • The U.S. Ice Rink Association is not responsible for any travel fees, charges, or reimbursement if the course is cancelled for any reason. • The U.S. Ice Rink Association will make every effort to provide as much notice as possible if a course is cancelled, but future pandemic related occurrences are not predictable. Attendees are discouraged from booking non-refundable travel. NEW OPPORTUNITY FOR CIT RECERTIFICATION , All certified ice technicians expiring in 2021 must complete their recertification exam by the end of the year to remain current. Due to suspending in-person courses and exam opportunities in 2020, and limited 2021 exam locations, we are now offering an online exam option that provides the opportunity for CITs to self- study and write the CIT Recertification exam utilizing an online proctor two times each month.
