PHOTO BY LON HORWEDEL Jake Locker finished his career first or second in every major passing category at the school … Nussmeier guided St. Louis Rams quarterback Marc Bulger to a Pro Bowl season in 2006, with 4,301 passing yards, 24 touchdowns and just eight interceptions … Nussmeier directed two MSU quarterbacks to school passing records, Jeff Smoker with 3,395 yards in 2003 and Drew Stanton with 3,415 yards in 2005. Playing Career Highlights: Taken in the fourth round of the 1994 NFL Draft by New Orleans … Played four seasons at quarterback with the Saints and one with the Indianapolis Colts … Performed on a Grey Cup championship British Columbia Lions CFL squad in 2000 … Passed for 10,824 yards in his college career at Idaho … One of only four quarterbacks in NCAA history to throw for 10,000 yards and rush for 1,000 … Earned the Walter Payton Award in 1993, and was named Big Sky Offensive Player of the Year in 1992. Family: Nussmeier and his wife, Christi, have two sons, Garrett and Colton, along with a daughter, Ashlynn.
