Michigan has offered a host of other 2015 prospects — Arizonan Christian Kirk is the No. 3 wideout and No. 21 overall player nationally, North Carolina native Juval Mollette is the No. 20 wide receiver and No. 176 overall player, and New Jersey's Juwan Johnson is the No. 30 wide receiver No. 245 overall player. Harris grew up a Michigan fan, but his other tie to Ann Arbor was through erstwhile U-M offensive coordinator, Al Borges. Madison Southern head coach Jon Clark was a graduate assistant at Auburn when Borges was the offensive coordinator, and the two have a close relationship. When Borges was fired, it inserted a level of doubt into Harris' pledge. He publicly decommitted from U-M Jan. 21. Michigan's coaches responded by offering Princeton (N.C.) High threestar running back Johnny Frasier. Four-stars Soso Jamabo, the No. 2 running back and No. 34 overall prospect nationally out of Plano (Texas) West; Jacques Patrick, the No. 3 running back and No. 39 overall prospect in the country out of Orlando (Fla.) Timber Creek; and local product Mike Weber out of Detroit Cass Tech, the No. 11 running back and No. 108 overall player in the nation, are all still on the table for U-M. As is the case each year in recruiting, there are certain to be many twists and turns with the 2015 Michigan class.
