INDIANA 23, PURDUE 16 TOP PLAYERS No.1 Indiana running back Tevin Coleman: Kind of odd to say a guy didn't have a great game when he rushed for 130 yards with an average of 4.5 per carry. But the dynam- ic big-play back's longest rush was only 24 yards. Still, he did enough to help IU keep the Bucket. No.2 Purdue running back Akeem Hunt: Though Hunt had another turnover — giving him three in his last two games — he at least responded against the Hoosiers. Hunt rushed for 171 yards, including an 82-yard touchdown run, before being knocked out of the game with concus- sion symptoms in the third quarter. No.3 Indiana receiver Shane Wynn: Though Wynn had game highs with six catches for 47 yards, it was his 41-yard touch- down on a reverse that changed the game. No.4 Purdue linebacker Ja'Whaun Bentley: The freshman was a big reason Purdue was able to keep Coleman largely in check, playing with a ferocity and a high motor to get all over the field to make a game-high 11 tackles. No.5 Purdue defensive end Ryan Rus- sell: In his final college game, Russell Tom Campbell Tevin Coleman pushed past 2,000 rushing yards for the season with 130 against Purdue. He became the seventh player to rush for at least 100 yards against the Boilermakers this season. GOLDANDBLACK EXPRESS • VOLUME 25, EXPRESS 11 • 16 made plays, getting six tackles, including 2.5 for loss. He also had what seemed like a crucial play at the time, getting a sack-fumble in the third quarter on a third-and-goal. Indiana ultimately got a first down after it, though, because Danny Ezechukwu got a personal foul for making contact with an official.
