FOOTBALL RECRUITING KEISEAN LUCIER-SOUTH 6-6, 220 • Orange (Calif.) Lutheran Five-star prospect, No. 7 recruit in California, No. 3 outside linebacker nationally and No. 32 overall player in the land Michigan has long recruited Lucier-South as a defensive end, though many others have given him the opportunity to play linebacker. He committed to UCLA in November, but an exciting hire for one of his childhood favorites — especially one with California connections — could convince him to reconsider. IMAN MARSHALL 6-2, 190 • Long Beach (Calif.) Poly Five-star recruit, No. 2 player in California, No. 1 cornerback in the country and No. 4 overall prospect nationally Marshall is one of the biggest fish Michigan has been chasing all along. A top player nationally, he has held U-M in his top group, though they've been at risk of fading. With Harbaugh in place, he has definitively stated his desire to take an official visit to Ann Arbor, and U-M can take their best shot when he's on campus. OSA MASINA 6-3, 231 • Salt Lake City Brighton Four-star prospect, No. 1 player in Utah, No. 5 outside linebacker nationally and No. 50 overall player in the land Masina was high on Michigan early in the process, but as was the case with many other players, his attention drifted elsewhere while the Wolverines strug- gled on the field. While he'll be a tough pull, his affinity for the program could give the Maize and Blue a shot to get him back on campus for an official visit. GRANT PERRY 6-0, 185 • Bloomfield Hills (Mich.) Brother Rice Three-star recruit, No. 12 player in Michigan and No. 80 wide receiver nationally Perry is one player for whom a Michigan offer could quickly change the recruit- ing process. Although he's committed to Northwestern, the teammate and friend of U-M quarterback pledge Alex Malzone would almost certainly flip in the event of a Michigan offer, bringing a record-setting duo (both set school records for yardage in a season for their respective positions) to The Big House. ROQUAN SMITH 6-0, 203 • Montezuma (Ga.) Macon County Four-star prospect, No. 9 player in Georgia, No. 7 outside linebacker in the land and No. 64 overall player nationally
