YOU HAVE MARKETING PARTNERS, RIGHT? Saying you have a sponsor is like saying you have a rotary phone. Because of how marketing with racers has changed, it is "old- school" to refer to them in that way. The correct and modern terminology is to say your team has "marketing partners". We can still use the word "sponsor" as slang, but let's be clear that there is often a misunderstanding about the relationship between a sponsor and racer. In order to get a complete grasp of what your relationship actually is, I often ask racers a variety of questions in the Racer Marketing School.
