skeptics. The truck was really well
balanced and ran flawlessly. We
couldn't have asked for anything
more mechanically out of it."
Proctor also believes his team's
performance may change opinions
about the viability of turbocharging
in off road racing. "I hope others
will start to recognize that turbos
are a viable option in the sport,"
he says. "I believe that we have
helped others consider a lower
displacement forced-induction
engine application in their
future off road build plans. Many
manufactures are developing
turbo applications and our hope
is that forced-induction will be
more widely accepted in other
classes, not just Class-2."
Time will tell. And as long as the
Ridgeline continues to capture
checkered flags, those opinions
are likely to change quickly. SJ
