who might become the 2015
champion. Early on, 2014
champ Marc Burnett had
difficulties all season long
with injuries, broken parts,
and fires that simply ended his
run at another title. This left
the door open for Brandon
Schueler, Wayne Matlock, and
the Can An team of Jason
and Derek Murray to fight
for every point possible.
By mid-season, Schueler,
Matlock and the Murrays each
had enough points to move
ahead in the points standings
with the championship within
reach for any of these teams.
After navigating around heavy
traffic during each race, and
keeping parts alive in the
rough terrain, it was Schueler
that came out with enough
points to take the Class-19
UTV Championship, capping
off a great season for the
Jagged-X racing team.
The 2015 SCORE season
also had more contingency
sponsorship and a greater
visibility with SCORE's
broadcasts of each race on
the CBS Sports Network,
making it one of the best
opportunities for teams,
sponsors and manufacturers
to gain additional exposure
at each race, contingency
day, and through SCORE's
social media, web series
and digital publication.
While teams are preparing
for the 2016 season, it's
difficult to say who may be in
contention for a championship
run. Nevertheless, with the
competition at the highest
levels in many of SCORE's
most popular classes, it's
anyone's game to see who
can work through the terrain,
heat, and upsets in the
world's most demanding
off-road racing series. SJ
