In June, everyone will converge for the SCORE Baja 500, where major points are awarded, but winning the race is one of the career highlights for any competitor. The race has been moved to La Paz for the Baja Sur 500 and will be a loop race unlike the previous year where it started in Cabo San Lucas and ended in Lareto. Last year, Carlos 'Apdaly' Lopez finished first in his RPM Off- Road Trophy Truck, which also put him in contention for a championship run. At the same time, the father and son team of Cody and Brian Parkhouse won in Class-1, while the Pro Moto Unlimited team of Ricky Brabec won an important race in their division to stay in the challenge towards winning their championship. With a two-month break after the SCORE Baja 500, racers and teams will face a new race for 2016, the SCORE Desert Challenge presented by Rosarito Beach. Scheduled for September 14-18th the race will be held in Rosarito Beach, Baja California, and will be a two-day race on a 15 to 16-mile loop that will be custom built to provide jumps, high-speed sections and a great way for fans to capture all the action from one location. Because this location is a resort destination, it is close to the U.S. Border and will be easier for teams to get to and provide a cooler climate. The final race of the 2016 SCORE racing season culminates with the 49th Bud Light SCORE Baja 1000 race. The premiere race of the season will undoubtedly bring out all racers and teams who want to IT WAS A HARD ROAD TO THE TOP FOR COLTON UDALL AND HIS TEAMMATES. YOU CAN BET THEY ARE PREPARING FOR MORE COMPETITION IN 2016 TO KEEP THEIR CHAMPIONSHIP POSITION. 042 SCORE JOURNAL
