HALEY ALVAREZ H aley Alvarez, a 2015 graduate, talks about her support of Virginia Athletics, "I arrived on Grounds in the Fall of 2011 and had a passion for baseball. I sought out Coach O'Connor and received a position on the baseball team staff. He was supportive of my aspirations and entrusted me with increased responsibilities during my time with the team. It was an incredible four-year internship that culminated in a College World Series Championship. e encouragement I received from Coach O'Connor, the staff and the players launched my dream career in Major League Baseball." Haley is currently a baseball operations intern in the Office of the Commissioner for Major League Baseball. Haley believes Virginia Athlet- ics provides the opportunity for individuals to grow and achieve goals.
