The numbers for JK/SK fell the first month as a number of children switched schools. • This year's program has had a strong focus on build- ing and crea ng. Projects this year have included: making machines with k'nex, making homemade bu er, building towers and crea ng a "restaurant" complete with employees and a drive-thru. • The children spend a lot of me outside, and even took some me to plant tulips in the school's front entrance area and play in the snow. • Children learned the importance of giving back, with ac vi es such as Opera on Shoebox and random acts of kindness. • Children took part in a number of learning ac vi es focused on science (including an egg experiment and a nature scavenger hunt) and literacy. • We are fortunate to have a CAF member volun- teering with our program. Mr. Nerlind has had a posi ve impact on our program and on each of our students. O U R L A D Y O F S O R R O W S
