THE JOHN PURDUE CLUB PROUDLY SUPPORTS OUR STUDENT-ATHLETES
During the 2011-12 school year, the athletes extended their streak of having a higher cumulative grade-point average than the overall student body to 30 consecutive semesters. That's 15 years!
The Graduation Success Rate increased from 77 to 78.4 percent with a projected increase to 80 percent in 2013. Our goal is 85 percent. Achievement of both "25 and 85" (finish in top 25 across all sports and graduate 85 percent of our athletes) would put us in the top 10 out of 335 NCAA Division I programs. "25/85" teams from 2011-12 were baseball, men's and women's basketball, women's golf, women's swimming and diving, women's tennis and volleyball.
SOCIAL REWARDS Get social with Purdue Athletics. Fans will be awarded points based on game attendance, posts, re-tweets, etc. that can be used to purchase items or enter drawings for prizes. Click on the JPC Social Media icons to the right to get the news first!
About 1/3 of our eligible student-athletes achieve Academic All-Big Ten recognition each year.

The President's Cup (highest semester GPA) was awarded to women's cross country and women's tennis for the 2012 spring semester.
The Drew and Brittany Brees Student-Athlete Academic Center (formerly known as the IAF) has been renovated, and the second floor now is completed dedicated to academic services for the student-athletes.
We currently have student athletes enrolled in every college at Purdue, including five in graduate school.
Academic Services has hired a learning specialist who works with student-athletes with learning disabilities or test taking anxieties.
