Tucked into a tight grid of side streets, the staid three-story brick building could easily escape your notice as you whiz past. Remarkably, the perfume that floats from the garden now tended by Newburyport's Museum of Old Newbury is probably not far removed from the fragrance produced by these flower beds in the 1870s. at was the year the Cushings began planting their rose collection, over 50 years into their family's tenancy in the home.
