, USA Hockey is committed to providing a multitude of resources for local hockey association leadership as they prepare for a return to hockey. Local associations and rinks can find a Return to Rinks Toolkit at usahockey.com/ programservices under the "resources" section at the top of the page. The toolkit includes a range of communication templates for engaging with your association membership including: • Social media graphics, conversation starters and suggested social media posts for different phases in your area • Email templates for communicating to your members • Web banners and graphics In order for associations to prepare for the season ahead, we have started our membership drive for the 2020/21 season. We know that reopening guidelines will continue to vary from state-to-state, so we will continue to evaluate and update what USA Hockey provides for our associations in order to ensure as smooth a transition as possible in returning to play. In addition to the provided toolkit, the USA Hockey Program Services team has begun hosting webinars that are aimed at supporting association leadership as we move into a new season. If you would like any topics to be customized on a webinar for your specific association, including a run through of available resources, please reach out to ProgramServices@USAHockey.org. 24 / JULY.AUGUST.2020 USICERINKS.COM Returning to the Rinks! , Getting up is something you do in the rink and out in the world. Every time you go to practice. Every time you fight for something you believe in. Every time you stumble and find your balance you are reminded that life is slippery…Get Up! The Get Up® campaign was launched by U.S. Figure Skating in 2017 to help skaters and non-skaters alike to recognize the grit, passion and perseverance needed to Get Up in the rink and in life every day. The campaign is a celebration of the strength, resilience and determination it takes to be a figure skater. Our goal is to attract new skaters to the sport, grow our fan base and empower our members to take pride in who they are as figure skaters while making a positive difference in their communities. GET UP CHAMPIONS U.S. Figure Skating encourages its members to nominate themselves or fellow skaters to be recognized as a 2020 Get Up Champion. The program is a peer-to- peer campaign recognizing members of the U.S. Figure Skating community that embrace the Get Up spirit. INTRODUCING THE GET UP AMBASSADORS Eight inspiring individuals have been selected by their peers to serve as 2020 Get Up Ambassadors.
