® 36 END OF YEAR REPORT 2024 Approved for distribution outside of the LoRa Alliance ® ® LoRa ALLIANCE ® BOARD OF DIRECTORS PREPARING FOR GROWTH: LoRa ALLIANCE ® EXPANDS LEADERSHIP TEAM AND APPOINTS NEW CEO Following a global search for a new CEO, the LoRa Alliance ® announced the appointment of Alper Yegin, a leading global expert on LoRaWAN ® technology with deep market expertise who has driven the standard's development since the inception of the LoRa Alliance. At the same time, the Board of Direc- tors changed its operating structure to adopt the industry best practice of separating the CEO and Board Chair roles to drive efficiencies and accountability and announced the election of Semtech's Olivier Beaujard to a one-year term. Additionally, Browan Communications' Henry Huang was appointed as the new Board Vice Chair, and Kerlink's Yannick Delibie was appointed Board Secretary, with the leadership team rounded out by ZENNER's Rich Sanders as Board Treasurer. Under the new structure, the CEO is responsible for providing strategic leadership and guiding the Alliance's day-to-day operations while the Board Chair and Board of Directors provide oversight and governance. Over the last nine years, the LoRa Alliance has gone through two major development phases in its history. The first was a startup phase focused primarily on developing the LoRaWAN specification and the formation of the LoRa Alliance organi- zation. The second phase was focused on building out the Alliance's organizational structure and maturity, formalizing its processes and procedures, and building visibility for LoRaWAN. The Alliance is now on its third phase as LoRaWAN moves into hyperscaling, aka the "hockey stick ramp." To support this growth, the Board expanded in 2024 with the addition of members from Birdz, Helium, Multi-Tech, and Verizon. The new board appointments are part of a strategic effort to diversify the Alliance's leadership by increasing repre- sentation from device makers, our Asia membership, network providers, and the utilities sector at the board level. This fresh leadership is prepared to drive LoRaWAN's new phase of de- velopment. With several large enterprise brands having already rolled out services using LoRaWAN and network availability at an all-time high globally with terrestrial, community, and NTN satellite options, paired with a robust LoRaWAN end-device ecosystem, the forecast growth trajectory is very strong. "I firmly believe that LoRaWAN is the strongest LPWAN technology in the market––and the only one that is truly able to support Massive IoT today. The standard's maturity, advanced and diverse feature set, comprehensive certification program, and tremendous global ecosystem differentiate LoRaWAN from other technologies. I look forward to collaborating with Olivier as Chair, as well as the full Board of Directors and every one of our members to maintain LoRaWAN's position as the leading LPWAN technology as we also exponentially ramp up its adoption in the market." Alper Yegin, LoRa Alliance CEO
