® 5 END OF YEAR REPORT 2024 Approved for distribution outside of the LoRa Alliance ® ® Our Evolution Continues On the back of our successes in 2024 and plans for exponen- tial growth in 2025 and beyond, I have set out clear goals and direction for the coming year. We are looking to pursue acceleration in three main areas: 1. Expanding our ecosystem and increasing member engagement Our goal is to provide more opportunities for members to connect and network, and to be active within the ecosys- tem. We will facilitate more meetups, more face-to-face committee meetings and town halls, more opportunities for interaction, more promotion and support for regional member events, and generally be more present globally. To reach a wider audience, we will bring our LoRaWAN Live events to key industry conferences around the globe, starting with IoT Solutions World Congress in May 2025. 2. Market awareness and education You can expect to see the LoRa Alliance Board and team going more places and meeting with more stakeholders, including government representatives, regulators, and other standards organizations. For example, I recently took part in ITU's CXO roundtable in Dubai and Board Chair Olivier Beaujard joined ITU's January meeting in Geneva to provide an update on LoRaWAN. As we travel to support these opportunities, we will seek out opportunities to meet with members, end users, and those wanting to learn more about LoRaWAN. We will leverage these opport to share information and support regional deployments, needs, and priorities. Finally, we will increase our external partnerships, deepening existing liaisons and seeking out new ones to increase collaborations and global visibility for LoRaWAN. We will work hard to set a new standard for IoT thought leadership; you'll see the Alliance more visible across media and social media with increased engagement in con- versations around digital transformation, IoT, and LPWANs. I ask that our members be bold in their external engage- ments and evangelize about the benefits of LoRaWAN–– the Alliance will provide the tools for you to do so. We will invest more of our resources to promote existing training opportunities and develop more of our webinars, FAQs, and similar resources. Within our committees, we will provide direct education about new features and tools to increase awareness and understanding comprehensively. 3. Continued development of LoRaWAN technology with an increased focus on accelerating the adoption of new features We have a very strong roadmap for LoRaWAN, and our technical committee is focused on bringing new features to market to enhance LoRaWAN's functionality in critical areas defined by our membership. Moving forward, we will support developers proactively so they can go to market faster, implement more quickly, and help accelerate the speed of adoption of the standards. Creating broader awareness and understanding of the standards amongst our essential stakeholders is key to achieving faster traction for LoRaWAN and members' products and services to enable Massive IoT. Our Time is Now As the LoRaWAN standard moves into hyperscaling, our focus as an Alliance is to bend the adoption curve upwards. The tech- nology is mature, products are innovative and readily available, and the market is ready to take off. We will activate our mem- bers by providing them the tools and information they need to educate and raise awareness, as well as understanding what building blocks are needed–and providing them–to address emerging market requirements. It is clear to the market that LoRaWAN is the strongest LPWAN technology––and the only one that can support Massive IoT today. This means that our time is now: it is time to be loud, to increase engagement of the ecosystem, to be more present globally, and to cement LoRaWAN's legacy as an essential and irreplaceable piece of the world's digital transformation. We have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to make a historic contribution to the planet and humanity, and I'm proud to guide the LoRa Alliance through this next phase of our existence. These are exciting times; I hope you'll join us. Alper Yegin, CEO, LoRa Alliance
