presentS recruiting news and notes Recruiting Roundup BY GOLD AND BLACK STAFF THREE COMMITMENTS COME FROM WEEKEND Purdue has been eager to upgrade its physicality at linebacker and got a player this weekend it hopes can help do just that when Jawhaun Bentley of national powerhouse DeMatha Catholic in Maryland committed during his official visit. Bentley was one of three commitments to come out of the weekend, as he was later joined by Florida defensive lineman Keiwan Jones and Georgia cornerback Brandon Roberts. Purdue added its second defensive line commit when Jones chose the Boilermakers over cofinalist Iowa State. Missouri and Western Michigan had also offered. "Being a recruit, coaches try to sell you on everything," said Jones, recruited to play tackle but equipped, he thinks, to be a 3-4-style end, too. "But what Buy Subaru and keep Indiana driving.
