the quarterly magazine of ILTA 59 Peer to Peer from the president mEmBER RESOURCES T he theme of this issue of Peer to Peer is professional development, and I cannot thank the ILTA family enough for the contributions you have made to my personal growth! Therefore, it is with a mixture of excitement and sadness that I pen this, my last letter to you as President. It is now time to celebrate the new team! Congratulations to our Board-electees: eric anderson, scott christensen, Michele Gossmeyer, dick Jensen, Jim Mccue, cheryl Proctor and steve skidmore. Look for their contact information in this issue and our website. Please drop them a note — they are ready to listen to your wishes and concerns! I would also like to take this opportunity to thank the three other current Board members who will be retire from Board service alongside me. Please join me in giving them a virtual standing ovation! They are: Judi flournoy (Treasurer, Past President and RVP Liaison), Jim McKenna (Executive Vice President, Past RVP Liaison and Treasurer) and dave Rigali (Conference Liaison, Past Executive Vice President and PGVP Liaison). With goodbyes always come hellos, and we are delighted in this issue to welcome our new officers. david Michel and Jenn steele join us as RVPs for the new South Atlantic and North Atlantic regions, respectively. In the PGVP ranks, we welcome dean leung (Mobile, Remote, and Wireless), Pat Purdy (Marketing Technology), and Michael Williams (Thomson Elite). Finally (in the proverbial "last but not least" spot), we welcome Meredith Williams as our new Conference Vice President; she will be working with Maureen babcock on ILTA 2010! The Board is focusing on transition to the new leadership team, and we know you will enjoy working with them. I hope to see many of you in person at our annual conference, and for those who are not attending this year, you will benefit from the myriad ways in which we extend the great educational content virtually throughout the year. I look forward to the many peer networking opportunities that lie ahead for all of us. Hugs to all!
