RUGMAN.
He comes from a background of punk rock, skateboarding and pop culture of the 80s, leaving an exhilarating past and
moving on to work in New York with designers labels such as Donna Karan and Calvin Klein.
Now he's back in the UK to work
with an independent label of
Y-shirts called RUDE. And to this
day carries on the illustration, not
because he is forced but because
it's what he loves doing, and we
can see the passion seep through
his work. Where can we find
Rugman now? Today he prefers
hiding away in his studio based in
Hackney. Where he illustrates his
distinctive thoughts on to canvas
and focuses on his commercial
work as well as still freelancing as
a graphic T-shirt designer. "I have
a passion to create pieces of visual
quality for people to enjoy, If I can
make one person smile or look that
little bit longer when looking at a
piece by Rugman then I have done
my job and I am happy." Words
