MEN OF POWER This issue of the SCORE Journal now focuses on the Engine Builder category, as this is the heartbeat of all racing and off-road performance activities. After talking about the need to recognize this area, SCORE Journal Editor, Dan Sanchez and photographer extraordinaire, Jack Wright, made the trip to various locations in Las Vegas, Nevada, and California’s Inland Empire to meet with top engine builders in the off-road motorsports arena. These legendary builders shared their thoughts on the dynamics of SCORE type off-road racing, and the unique variables that are needed for long distance endurance race success. In addition, after years of discussion, SCORE Journal has put together the first listing of the many engine builders in the sport, derived by our racer participant base. This will serve as a starting point to continue to build a consistent database as a reference source for current and new competitors entering our racing activity. For many racers, it’s imperative to have a reliable and qualified "go to" engine sources in every class from SCORE Trophy Truck to Class 11 competitors. Off-Road Adventure has always been more than heading off to camp at a location for Baja races. A total of 91-percent of SCORE Journal’s Racers and Enthusiasts participate in outdoor activities. In this issue we showcase the latest in camping gear, and off-road truck accessories to make your next off-road adventure experience even better. See you at the Races.
