Defensive end Chazmyn Turner, a long- standing Boilermaker commitment, signed with Purdue Wednesday, many weeks after he opted not to sign on the signing date while he also considered a late offer from West Virginia. The Mountaineers had the Mooresville (N.C.) High School lineman's attention but it is believed his family preferred Purdue, which he committed to following an early December official visit. Turner has not been available for comment since abruptly signing with Purdue, which did not have much com - munication with him in the immediate wake of signing day.
