It can be inspiring and it can be thought provoking, this is exactly what Hirst any many artists seek to achieve. Hirst does so to great effect with striking sculptures, objects and paintings, including the iconic shark suspended in formaldehyde from The Physical Impossibility of Death in the Mind of Someone Living 1991, and the diamond-covered skull from For the Love of God 2007. These are collected works from a career spanning more than 20 years, and this is the first time a British institution has exhibited this many of his pieces. This is proving to be an extremely popular event so book your tickets at least three days in advance to make sure you get in the door! We love all that bling - big thumbs up from us.
