FORD F-150 RAPTOR
OE OFF-ROAD
T
ruck manufacturers
often create some of
the hottest off-road
concept vehicles to
attract attention to their next
model pickup. These are four-
wheel fantasies are exciting
to see. But while the entire
vehicles seldom make it into
production, many of the
components and body styling
features are sometimes used in
new model vehicles. With that
said, the latest concept off-
road trucks have SCORE racers
and enthusiasts excited for the
possibility of some renewed
interest in off-road performance.
As of press time Nissan, Ford
and Chevy are all showcasing
their own breed of off-road
inspired vehicle, so incredibly
performance-oriented
that they could take you
directly from the street to
the extremes of the desert
or beyond with little effort.
While the question of
whether or not a concept makes
it into production is partly
based on popularity, what the
SCORE Journal discovered is
that these trucks are more than
good- looking. They back it up
with heaping amounts of under-
the-hood and undercarriage
performance and just the right
amount of off-road styling.
