Central, No. 120 in the country — visited during the weekend of Sept. 2-4 and are planning to sign in the fall. If the Wolverines do sign another player this for the class of 2017, it will likely be in the spring. Among those they're still on are five-star Mohamed Bamba (6-11, 205, No. 4 player in the land). Michigan hosted the West- town (Pa.) School standout during the weekend of Sept. 2-4 for an unof- ficial visit, after which he said Beilein impressed him and called his visit, "Magical." "There's no timetable to cut any list," he told USA Today in his recent blog. "One of my favorite parts about this process is getting to know the coaches. I love talking to Coach Shaka [Smart] at Texas. I think it's because he's a little younger and he always finds a way to connect with me. "I love talking to Coach [John] Cal [Calipari at Kentucky], too; he always finds a way to teach me something in our conversations. I know he's dedi- cated to me getting better. "I've got a great relationship with Coach [Kevin] Ollie at Connecticut, too. Same for Coach [Mark] Turgeon at Maryland; he really looked out for me when we were in Chile. And Coach Beilein is just really wise. He's a guy you can just learn a lot from." In June, Bamba told Rivals.com that UConn, Arizona, Duke, Indiana, Ken- tucky, Louisville, North Carolina and Syracuse were the schools remain- ing on his list. He then added U-M and Harvard and appears to be wide open. By all accounts, he had a great time in Ann Arbor, pausing for pictures and taking in the scenery at Michi-   BASKETBALL RECRUITING Michigan Is Strong With Many Recruits In Several Classes Mohamed Bamba, a 6‑11, 205‑pound center at the Westtown (Pa.)
