Here is some of what they had to say: "The retail buying public doesn't understand how bad ethanol is on their fuel system." "Many 'service technicians' claim to be proficient yet do not produce the excellent work required in the marine industry." "Marine techs leave the industry [for] year-round work and working conditions. We need to get up to speed." "The percentage of ethanol problems to total repairs has gone down because we have been very aggressive educating our customers." "E10 has been a revenue generator in the service department at the cost of customer satisfaction." "Ethanol is a major issue for us as units are laid up for six months in Canada's inland water." "Our [representatives] and senators should be voted out of office for voting for ethanol fuel." "Hard to find competent people and when we do it is hard to be able to pay them what they need to keep them while still making money." "The ethanol issue is serious, potentially dangerous and perhaps a financial disaster for boat owners." "We switched to pure gas several years ago. Ethanol causes many fuel management problems in engines and fuel tanks." "Ethanol is a problem, particularly in older boats. The consumer knows very little about this issue."
