Grinning Ear to Ear: The way exhibitors pamper their animals, it’s no wonder that most pen portraits are all smiles like this one. 3. Get Yer hot dogs!: Food at the fair is usually synonymous with the main food court area, but lo and behold, there are eateries throughout the midway as well. 4. down & dirty: Tractor pulls are slated for opening night. Check out the schedule and get there early for a decent seat. 5. creepus carnivalis: Ghoulish creatures and frightful fiends can be found at any of a handful of 3 haunted houses. Enter with caution! 6. it’s a toss-up: Skill, more skill and lots of luck are the necessary ingredients to take home the most coveted carnival prizes. 7. License to drive: Youngsters make great spectators, but amazingly, many kids can be found in the thick of rodeo and tractor-pull events. Be sure to give them an extra cheer! 8. Best seat in the house: Livestock derbies spice up the fair for youngsters every year. Check out the area adjacent to the petting zoo. Races run nightly. 9. Piece of cake: On a diet?
