ALL RIGHT, FAIR FOLKS. Got a penchant for picture-taking? Eastern Idaho resi- dents and visitors alike are eligible for the annual Idaho Falls magazine Photo Contest. The overall grand prize, sponsored by Perfect Light Camera & Supply in Idaho Falls, will be a Nikon DSLR D5000 kit valued at nearly $1000. The camera store is also upping its prize offerings for first overall runner-up (a professional Canon photo printer) and second overall runner- up (a deluxe camera backpack). Categories include Portraits, Nature & Wildlife, Sports & Leisure and Events— such as the Eastern Idaho State Fair itself or any event happening within it. The top three finishers in each cat- egory will receive a cash prize ($75 first, $50 second and $25 third) as well as a free round of photography classes at Perfect Light. The submission deadline is Nov. 30. The limit is three images per category. High-resolution digital entries (via email or CD/DVD) are strongly preferred, although you may also submit film transpar- encies and original prints from film. (Digital prints are not accepted.)
