De La Salle on National Signing Day to support and congrat- ulate the Pilots who were signing letters of intent to schools around the country. Front and center, linebacker Jared Wangler soaked in the scene, wear- ing a shirt, tie and block 'M' hat. Wangler inked his name on a piece of paper that added one more link in a familial chain to Michigan. Wangler 's father, John, played quarterback for the Wolverines from 1976-80, replacing Rick Leach and starting 14 games. Wangler 's older brother, Jack, joined the Wolverines as a walk-on wide receiver last season, and his older sister, Halle, became a member of the Michigan women's basketball team this season after transferring JARED WANGLER FOLLOWS FAMILY LINE TO MICHIGAN Wangler has followed in the footsteps of his father, John, who played quarterback for U-M from 1976-80; his brother Jack, a walk-on sophomore wide receiver for the Wolverines; and his sister Halle, who is a redshirt sophomore on the Michigan women's hoops team.
