of Michigan's 2015 recruiting class, Lakewood (Ohio) St. Edward cor- nerback Shaun Crawford is the current jewel of the group. He's a smaller player, at just 5-9 and 165 pounds, but is an explosive athlete who contributes in all three phases for his high school team. He is con- sidered the No. 96 overall player and No. 12 cornerback in the nation, and the fourth-best player in Ohio. His defensive position is safety in high school, but he has the physical tools to become a true corner in college. Philadelphia St. Joseph's Prep al- ready has one Wolverine in the 2015 class in Runyan, but cornerback John Reid is even more highly cov- eted than his classmate. The 5-10, 175-pounder ranks No. 107 nation- ally, and holds 16 early offers, includ- ing one from Michigan. He would like to learn more about U-M, but the pledge of his teammate can only help the chances of landing him. Long Beach (Calif.) Poly is home to five-star Iman Marshall, and the 6-2, 195-pounder is interested in Michi- gan, like many Jackrabbits before him (including 2007 signee Donovan Warren) have been. Marshall is the No. 16 player in the country, and his special blend of size and athleticism make him a highly coveted prospect. Special Teams 2014 Scholarship Players: 3 2015 Commits: 1 2015 Needs: 0 With a redshirt freshman long snapper, U-M is set at that position for the foreseeable future. Michigan will play seniors at punter (fifth- year Will Hagerup) and kicker (Matt Wile) this fall, and although there are younger players on the roster, all are walk-ons. While some may develop into contributors, a scholarship op- tion is needed in the 2015 class. Fortunately, the coaching staff has already identified — and secured a commitment from — its guy. Massil- lon (Ohio) Washington placekicker Andrew David committed to the Wolverines in the summer. While he had some struggles his junior year, making only two-thirds of his kicks, his upside is high both kicking and punting. ❑ Long Beach (Calif.) Poly five-star recruit Iman Marshall, the country's No. 4 corner- back and No. 16 overall player according to Rivals.com, has interest in U-M.
