Nokia is no more! It's official, Nokia is no more. Microsoft an- nounced that they will stop using the Nokia brand on their phones, less than a year after acquiring the rights to the Finnish com- pany, and will be using the Lumia name on all their up- coming handsets. Its days of being a household name are over. Nokia dominated the mobile market from the 80's to the early 00's, but began to struggle against the more advanced iPhone and Android systems. Windows Phone, using the Nokia brand, continued to struggle against other handsets until eventually Microsoft cut their losses and dropped the Nokia name.
