GOLDANDBLACK EXPRESS • VOLUME 25, EXPRESS 22 • 10 on, would they go to the NCAA Tournament? Yes, they would. They're an NCAA Tournament team. You can go right down the list in our league and there's probably one team that can say that outside of Wisconsin. "That's where you have to get. You have to keep your focus on play- ing your next opponent more than anything else." Some Purdue play- ers are following Painter's lead and not talking about the Tournament. Senior Jon Octeus, for one, is taking a different approach. He said he talks to teammates about it "as much as possible." He played in the Tournament with Colo- rado State. "It's one of the most fulfilling experiences I've ever been part of," Octeus said last week. "It's a great experience. Any time I can throw a little story in there, I do that, and every time I can remind them this is my last chance to go, I do that too. 'It's like, 'Hey, Neal (Beshears) and I won't be here next year and we really want to get there and this is our last chance to get there, so if you guys really love me, help us get there.'"
