The following elected membership representative positions will be open: (2) Facility and (1) At-Large. Individuals elected to the STAR board of directors serve three- year terms, starting in August. Nomination forms will be sent by email to all STAR members by July 1, and the nominations will be accepted through July 15. Ballots will be distributed to all STAR members July 16, and ballots will be accepted through July 24. Winners will be announced on July 30. Calling All Certified Ice Technicians – CITs Individuals who have been awarded the Certified Ice Technician (CIT) professional designation by STAR are required to recertify every five years from the year their CIT was originally achieved. Individuals who were awarded their CIT in the years 2001- 2010, and have not already successfully completed the CIT recertification course, or passed the CIT recertification challenge exam in the last five years, will be required to recertify in 2015 in order to maintain their CIT professional designation. The CIT recertification challenge exam will be offered at each STAR Regional Training Program location this summer.
