Whether in the lounge, oceanic room, garden view room, gable room, on the patio, or in the garden, guests are treated to tasteful ambiance and haute cuisine. Barrel-vaulted ceilings, exposed driftwood beams, fireside dining, leather banquettes, and high-top seating are just a few of the details that make this such a rich establishment—to say nothing of the menu's myriad seafood offerings. 5 Pioneer Road, Rye, NH, 03870, 603- 433-3000, theatlanticgrill.com. $$ CAPE ANN FRESH CATCH Cape Ann Fresh Catch is akin to a CSA (community supported agriculture) but with fish. Since 2008, the CSF (com- munity supported fishery) has worked in partnership with local fishermen and eateries to provide North Shore diners the ultimate fresh seafood experience. On Wednesdays, they deliver to Milk and Honey Green Grocer in Salem, and on Thursdays, their daily catch is found at Turner's Seafood in Gloucester, as well as Coastal Green Grocer in Ipswich, Colby Farm in Newburyport, and Calareso's Farm Stand in Reading. Whether looking to buy a share or hunt- ing for restaurants offering their fish, the way to get started is by learning more about how they work. Visit capeannfreshcatch.org to understand how a CSF benefits the local economy and the environment while providing the highest quality seafood. 2 Blackburn Center, Gloucester, 01930, 978-283-2504, capeannfreshcatch.org. $$ JOE FISH Nautical is what Joe Fish does best. From its funky maritime interior to the creative presentation of its seafood, the place is all about the fresh catch and the paraphernalia used to capture it (even the dinner rolls are served in tin buckets, furthering the extreme theme). Fried calamari, Chatham oysters, bayou catfish, and grilled Gulf shrimp—these are just a few good reasons to live and dine on the North Shore. Joe Fish is another. 1120 Osgood Street, North Andover, 01845, 978-685-3663; 60 Main Street, North Reading, 01864, 978-207-0357, joefish.net. $$ LATITUDE 43 RESTAURANT & BAR With a cozy tavern perfect for lounging over cocktails; an eclectic live music line- up that never quits; a raw bar to make our North Shore natives proud; an architectur- ally fascinating building made of "green" materials, well, "Lat 43" is a top-notch venue for high-quality seafood seekers. 25 Rogers Street, Gloucester, 01930, 978-281-0223, latfortythree.com. $$$
