228 Clockwise from top left, This barn lantern, part of the collection at Alexander Westerhoff Antiques, dates back to 1800. This clock's pillar-and-scroll style is named after the two pillars surrounding its face and the distinctive scrollwork that adorns the top. Back-painted glass below the clock face is signature to clocks created in the early 19th century. A quirky tin weathervane found at Westerhoff's depicts a Native American with a bow and arrow; the piece was created circa 1850. Entitled Portrait of a Young Lady, this piece was painted by New England artist Zedekiah Belknap, whose work dates between 1781 and 1858.
