1 0 6 F i l m Fe s t i v l O v e r v i e w s x s w. c o m FILM FESTIVAL OVERVIEW ADMISSION AND TICKETING Seating for each screening is subject to capacity and will occur on a priority basis approximately 30 45 minutes before the screening starts. Don't be discouraged by the lines. Many of our venues are quite large and our systems ensure that you'll know quickly if it's worth waiting. The order of entrance to all venues will be as follows: 1. SXSW badgeholders with SXXpress Passes to the screening. 2. The remaining badgeholders. 3. If seats are available after all badgeholders have entered, Film Wristband holders are allowed to enter. 4. If any seats remain, single admission tickets will be sold starting 15 minutes before showtime for $12. SXXPRESS PASSES All Film, Gold and Platinum badgeholders can request up to two SXXpress Passes per day (one pass per fi lm) for the current day's screenings from the SXXpress Box Offi ce, which is located at the Austin Convention Center in Exhibit Hall 5 and is open March 11–19, 9:00 AM–4 PM. Show up early! You must arrive at the theater at least 30 minutes prior to the screening to guarantee entry. Jump to the front of the badge line with these FREE passes. Must be used in combination with a Registration Badge. QUEUE CARDS If you have a badge and want to ensure you get a seat at the Stateside Theatre, Rollins Theatre at the Long Center, Vimeo Theater, Topfer Theatre at ZACH or any Alamo Theater... Show up 30 minutes to 1 hour before screening time to get a numbered queue card. GET THERE EARLY! This will ensure your admission as long as you stay at the venue and are in line when we start seating. BUFFER CARDS After all available Queue Cards are distributed at a screening SXSW staff will start handing out Buffer Cards. While these cards do not guarantee entry to the theater, they will help badgeholders secure a seat if any fi lmmaker guest tickets or SXXpress passes go unused at the screening. VENUE STATUS BOARDS Get accurate seating status information for each screening at the festival. We will be continually updating at vsb.sxsw.com and in the SXSW GO App. Here's what to look for: FESTIVAL SHUTTLES Catch the SXSW Festival Shuttle The SXSW Festival Shuttle is the free circulating shuttle that runs between the Austin Convention Center and most SXSW Music, Film and Interactive Festival Venues. Shuttles will leave the Austin Convention Center approximately every 7–10 minutes during conference hours and run into the wee hours of the morning. One circulating route will take you from the Paramount Theatre all the way to the Alamo South Lamar, and places in between. Track the shuttles in real time on the SXSW GO app or at shuttles.sxsw.com. Festival Shuttle Operating Hours Fri., March 11: 10:30 AM –2:30 AM* Sat., March 12 –Sat., March 19: 9:00 AM –2:30 AM* *Late night service (11:00 PM– 2:30 AM) operates on reduced frequency.
