Keynote speakers included former Senator George Mitch- ell, who spoke about negotiating in a polarized world, and Tim Urban, whose presentation "Wait, But Why?" dealt with understanding and accepting procrastination. Mitchell served 15 years as a Democratic senator from Maine, being instru- mental in the passage of the Clean Air Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act. Business sessions included a panel discussion on diversity, featuring the CEO of Marriott and Diageo president Dierdre Mahlan, a session on international trade featuring Julien He- mard from Pernod Ricard USA, the Asst. Director of Valida- tion and Compliance at Customs and Border Protection, and Tom LaFaille, VP and International Trade Counsel for the Wine Institute.
