has been set up for people that have been in New Zealand
for the previous 14 days. Some restrictions between states
and metro and regional areas especially in Victoria.

Employment Situation
During September, more than 31% of workers
worked from home on most days compared with
12% in March (before the onset of restrictions).
33% of workers do not have access to any sick
leave.
Of those with sick leave, 18% do not have
enough to take two weeks off work.
1.6 million people are currently on JobSeeker
benefits as the requirement to be looking for
work was temporarily paused.
>130,000 university students are expected to
graduate in Q4 2020. The job market is the
worst since the 1990s recession.
15-24 year old unemployment was 14.5% in
September.
The Government has introduced a JobMaking
Hiring Credit scheme to encourage eligible
employers to hire job seekers aged 16-35 years.
