Longevity, Leadership And Legendary Races For The SCORE’s Golden 50th Anniversary Season The historic 2023 SCORE World Desert Championship 50th Anniversary Season is now in the record books and what a record setting year it has been. This season’s focus was the celebration of the 50th anniversary of SCORE operating as the premier desert racing organization. This included the four iconic races making up the series, which are a great indicator of the SCORE series’ longevity, leadership and legendary status. It began with the 36th SCORE San Felipe 250, 55th SCORE Baja 500, the 4th SCORE Baja 400 and the final granddaddy of all off-road races, the 56th running of the SCORE Baja 1000. This introduced the very special history making reverse race course from La Paz to Ensenada, Baja, MX to top off this season’s milestone racing experience. SCORE continued its growth and impact, as the leading off-road motorsports series with Social Media reach, Media Coverage, Live Stream development, International competitors, press coverage and of course, the involvement of the top level of competitors involved with desert racing. The global racing communities have also been represented with racers from Dakar, NASCAR, Indy Car, F1, World Rally Championship and other forms of motorsports hoping to experience all the challenges that are unique to SCORE Baja racing. Additional highlights have been the Grand Marshall program representatives with Walker Evans, Ivan Stewart, Johnny Campbell, Pat Butler and SCORE’s own, Dan Cornwell joining SCORE’s former President and owner, Sal Fish, in making this season even more memorable.
