The Big Reveal
Here are brief notes from Darrell Hazell this week.
R Gabe Holmes will miss the season after having surgery on his dislocated left wrist. Holmes, one
of Purdue's starting tight ends, was injured during practice on Sept. 10.
R Hazell says Purdue's kickoff coverage needs to improve, after specialist Thomas Meadows has
placed only two of his 12 kickoffs into the endzone for a touchback. The Boilers rank last in net kickoff
yardage in the Big Ten.
R Purdue's rushing game has been sputtering, after picking up only 38 yards on 21 carries against
Notre Dame. Hazell says Purdue needs to be "much more physical" when running the football.
