A.J. Hammons stepped up his play a great deal in conference play, when he led the league in blocked shots and was second in rebounding through mid-Febru- ary. He has put up big numbers despite having a handful of games where his playing time was severely limited due to foul difficulty. KK Houser has definitely made a conscious decision to remain an integral part of the team following a knee injury suffered at Michigan State on Feb. 2.
