Big Ten Wars Moments before Hammons' game-winning free throw that gave the Boilermakers a come-from-behind win over Penn State, Coach Matt Painter tried to lighten the mood in the huddle. Painter asked Hammons his choice of pizza toppings for his order after the game and talked to Jay Simpson, who had the great entry pass to Hammons before he was fouled. In mid-February, the men's basketball program celebrated two of its legends in Joe Barry Carroll for the Indiana game and Glenn Robinson, who is pictured here amidst the Paint Crew, during the Michigan State game. Robinson credited Purdue for providing the foundation for his NBA career and Coach Gene Keady for making him the man he is. Fans shared in the cele- bration by being given bobbleheads of the former Boilermaker NBA No.1 draft picks.
