If you are a Purdue fan, you hope that is the issue for the Boilermaker football and men's basketball teams. Just growing pains. For Coach Darrell Hazell and Co. there are signs this is the case. The promise shown in early October wasn't what we saw in late November. But there are reasons to believe Purdue is better and will be better in 2015. How much better is a debatable topic and theme you will read throughout this is- sue. Yet, it will be the contents includ- ed in the next glossy issue we mail in March that will likely be more telling on whether Hazell can turn around the Boilermakers' football fortunes. Be- cause by then, the 2015 recruiting class will be complete — we'll review it in the March/April issue — and Purdue fans ON THE COVER Vince Edwards takes a con- tested shot in the Crossroads Classic against Notre Dame. Edwards is one of five new- comers to show varying levels of promise in the lineup and has experienced his ups and downs through the first month of the season, similar to the team.
