On 15 January JJ Abrams and Birdman director,
Alejandro González Iñárritu announced the Academy
Award nominations. There some very interesting
nominations for Best Song. The wonderful 'Everything Is
Awesome' from The Lego Movie was a surprise nominee.
What's more surprising is that it wasn't nominated in the
Best Animated Feature category! The John Legend and
Common song 'Glory' for the Civil Rights film Selma was
one of only two nominations for the film, although, the
other is for Best Picture. Also nominated is 'Grateful' from
the film Beyond The Lights, performed by Rita Ora. The
final song is 'Lost Starts' from the Keira Knightley film
