The sophomore wing has been out since the Jan. 8 game at Maryland, when she suffered a high ankle sprain early in the loss to the Terrapins. But after wearing a boot, and being sidelined, for much of the time since, Perry start- ed participating more in practices over the last week. "Not that she's going to be the cure-all," Coach Sharon Versyp said, "but she'll be another rotation, a player with size, a rebounder, just a different look. Perry was aver- aging 9.3 points and four rebounds per game before she was hurt vs. Maryland. And in the eight games previous to the injury, she was averaging 10.6 points and 5.9 rebounds per game. "I felt like my energy was good," she said. "I love playing with my teammates, we'd go to war together for games. Every- one was just stepping up and ex- panding their games as a whole throughout the team. When that happens, it's a minor setback but we still have a long season to go." WHITE HONORED WITH BOBBLEHEAD Stephanie White, the head coach of the Indiana Fever, will help the Boilermakers with a pair of promotions this month.
