GOLDANDBLACK EXPRESS • VOLUME 25, EXPRESS 20 • 17 one in any way. Before the injury on Jan. 25, Hummel was play- ing some of his best pro basketball. "I think I'm way more comfortable, confident in the fact that I can play well in this league," Hummel told Gold and Black last week. "To have the success I did, I think I can continue that. "I feel like I was un- derstanding where to cut, getting some easy baskets, then defensively being comfortable in our system and un- derstanding defense in the NBA." Hummel is averaging 4.2 points and 2.8 rebounds for the Timber- wolves while playing multiple po- sitions. He even had to play some point guard and center, he said, be- cause of injuries. "It's good for me, something you can say you did," Hummel said. "There's probably not a lot of guys who can say they did that in the NBA." E'Twaun Moore played 16 minutes, his highest total since mid-January, in the Bulls' 98-97 victory over Orlando on Sunday. Moore scored five points, includ - ing a critical three-pointer late that pulled Chicago within six, and had an assist. He's averaging 2.1 points on the season in 7.9 minutes per game. Moore also had an ESPN-high- light worthy moment on Saturday, catching an alley-oop one-handed from Nikola Mirotic and dunking it with his right. For the Kings, Carl Landry is aver- aging 7.7 points and 4.3 rebounds in 18 minutes per game coming off the bench. IN THE HUNT With six days left in the second round for the Infiniti Coaches' Char- ity Challenge, Matt Painter was tied for first place with Iowa State's Fred Hoi- berg. Painter and Hoiberg each had 24 percent of the vote, put- ting them well ahead of third- place (7 per- cent). Painter's charity is the Smith Family BReaK Thru Fund. The third round will cut the field to 16 coach- es. The winning coach's charity will receive $100,000. j PLUS-MINUS Below indicates how Purdue has fared when an individual has been in the game.
