GOLDANDBLACK EXPRESS • VOLUME 25, EXPRESS 20 • 3 And the Boilermaker staff does have scholarship room to play with also for potential late signees. With much more to come in our March/April glossy issue, here's a quick player-by-player look at the class as it stands today. Markus Bailey: A versatile linebacker who can play any of the three positions. Fred Brown: An undersized, but very active, defensive tackle who was the last player committed to the class. Andy Chelf: A smart, gritty DB in the mold of outgoing senior Landon Feichter. Wyatt Cook: An extremely physical, dedicated between-the- tackles-type inside linebacker. Evyn Cooper: A versatile athlete with excellent size and speed, Coo - per will start off at corner but could play safety or even offense, too. Sawyer Dawson: A safety- type outside linebacker recruit who runs well and can play in space. Tim Faison: An edge pass- rusher who'll play outside line- backer for the Boilermakers after playing end in high school. Tario Fuller: A physical, but versatile, running back who might be the most complete of the three backfield signees. Shayne Henley: A junior col- lege defensive end who's regarded for effort and his ability to get after the quarterback. Brycen Hopkins: A physical specimen at tight end who's only played two seasons of football. He has excellent athleticism and NFL genetics. Markell Jones: A dominant high school running back who's physical, fast enough and possess- es outstanding vision and balance. Mike Little: A high school two-way player who will bring size to the corner spot at Purdue. Anthony Mahoungou: A native of France who's a physi- cally impressive wide receiver with a ton of upside, you'd think. He's played just one season of junior college ball in the U.S. Ben Makowski: An early enrollee recruited to be Pur- due's snapper from Day 1. Matt McCann: A physically imposing, barrel-chested offen- sive tackle who was one of the top linemen in Indiana this year. Michael Mendez: An un- der-the-radar offensive line recruit who enrolled early and could play tackle or guard. David Rose: Purdue likes the cornerback's height and length and ability to play the ball in the air. Joe Schopper: A punter re- cruit who'll compete for the job right away in college. Elijah Sindelar: An early en- rollee and Purdue's top QB target. He'd have competed to be a starter right away had he not torn his ACL in his final high school game. Peyton Truitt: A local kid who looked like a tackle when Purdue recruited him but now more like a guard. Jess Trussell: A downfield re- ceiving threat at tight end who'll need to get bigger and stronger and better in the run game. Larry Wells: A massive offen- sive tackle from a passing-oriented high school offense. Run-blocking will be an adjustment for him. Eddy Wilson: One of Purdue's top signees, Wilson is a big and physical, but quick and athletic, de- fensive tackle. Richard Worship: A massive running back who'd play fullback at most schools but may get a chance to carry the ball at Purdue. Domonique Young: A physi- cally advanced wide receiver who believes he can be a downfield threat in his two seasons with the Boilermakers. j Brian Neubert Markell Jones is one of five signees already on cam- pus, and exhibits the physicality Hazell wants.
