FASHION 23 7 LOUISE GRAY LIVENS UP TOPSHOP
Life is too short to be boring. Fortunately, Louise Gray's collection for Topshop is anything but boring with her exciting, clashing colours and an aesthetic where anything goes, be it oversized pom-pom earrings or her jaw-dropping mad prints.
Referencing Zillah Minx from the eighties punk band 'Rubella Ballet' as a muse, Louise Gray's designs were always going to be beautifully chaotic. Having studied at the Glasgow school of art and completing her MA at Central Saint Martins, Louise cites her ideal customer as simply being someone fun. Her designs are a slap in the face to any drab minimalists out there and take you back to when you were a kid, rummaging through the dressing up box. Her light- hearted sense of fun does not stop at the clothes, her make-up and hair is infused with the same clashing, vibrant colours; one thing's for sure there is no restraint about this look. This coming Thursday Louise Gray's designs will
be adding much needed fun and creativity to Topshop's range, as her capsule collection will be launched. There is a six-piece range of simple silhouettes dripping with sequins in daringly bright, clashing colours. Louise proves that fashion doesn't have to be boring and drab; don't take yourself too
seriously, don some sequins and get involved.
